Nicholas Paul
NIcholas Paul is aged 46 and is a practising barrister and deputy district judge. He specialises in public law and civil liberties. He is a founder member of Doughty Street Chambers.
Outside the law he has been active in the voluntary sector. He has been a school governor of an inner city primary and secondary school. At the latter school he was at the heart of the negotiations for a proposed private finance initiative scheme. He is a supporter of the Bar in the Community campaign and is also a director on the board of the Charterhouse Group of Therapeutic communities
By way of relaxation he enjoys family life and when that is too much he does charity cycle rides. In particular he has been very active in fund raising for the British Legion by cycling to Paris for the last three years.
